ARB - Volkswagen Amarok Rear Bumper - Summit Step Tow Bar (2016-2022)

BUILT FOR THE BACK OF THE AMAROK

The ARB Summit Rear Step Towbar transforms the rear of the Volkswagen Amarok with one integrated system for protection, towing and everyday access.

Replacing the original rear bumper, the Summit combines a substantial steel structure with a practical full-width step, dedicated recovery jacking points and an integrated Class 4 hitch. This version is specifically designed to work with vehicles equipped with factory rear parking sensors.

REAR PROTECTION. PROPERLY ENGINEERED.

At the heart of the Summit is a 60.3 x 2.6mm steel tube frame, supported by press-formed steel wings using three chassis mounting points for strength and rigidity.

The outer wing panels use 3mm steel, while 1.6mm press-formed diffuser panels provide additional protection and a more integrated finish around the rear of the Amarok.

A durable black powder-coated finish provides corrosion resistance and gives the assembly a purposeful factory-style appearance.

TOWING BUILT IN

This isn't simply a protective rear bumper with a towbar added underneath.

The Summit incorporates a Class 4, 50mm hitch into the rear bar itself, with the tow tongue included. ARB specifies this application with a maximum towing capacity of 3000kg and maximum towball download of 300kg, always subject to the limits and specifications of the individual vehicle.

A STEP YOU'LL ACTUALLY USE

A silver anodised extruded aluminium tread panel runs across the rear of the bar, with raised ridges providing additional grip.

Whether you're reaching into the load bed, securing equipment or accessing a roof rack, the integrated step provides a strong and convenient platform without needing an additional rear step.

FACTORY PARKING SENSOR COMPATIBILITY

This version of the Summit Rear Step Towbar is designed specifically for Amaroks fitted with factory rear parking sensors, allowing the vehicle's existing parking assistance system to be retained.

The rear bar can also be colour coded where a closer match with the vehicle bodywork is preferred.

RECOVERY-READY JACKING POINTS

Two dedicated jacking points are positioned along the lower edges of the rear bar.

Designed for use with either an ARB Jack or Hi-Lift jack, they provide properly located lifting points when vehicle recovery or off-road conditions demand them.

CLEAN, CONSIDERED DETAILING

ARB incorporates a spring-loaded protection panel into the rear bar to conceal the trailer wiring connection.

Behind the same panel are mounting provisions for an optional ARB Trailer Camera and 50amp Anderson plug, keeping additional towing equipment neatly integrated rather than hanging beneath the vehicle.
