The TentBox FreeStander is a fully freestanding awning that creates a spacious standalone area for cooking, eating and relaxing at camp. FreeStander Freestanding Awning
The TentBox FreeStander is a fully freestanding awning designed to create additional living space at camp without being permanently attached to your vehicle. With a spacious 3 × 3m footprint and 2.2m of headroom, it provides plenty of room for cooking, eating, relaxing and storing camping equipment.
FREESTANDING DESIGN
Unlike a conventional vehicle-mounted awning, the FreeStander remains standing when you drive away. This allows you to leave your campsite set up while heading out to explore, without having to pack away your shelter each time you use your vehicle.
DUAL-MODE SETUP
Use the FreeStander as a quick open-sided shelter or add the supplied inner pod to create a fully enclosed living space. The outer shelter pops up in approximately 60 seconds without poles to thread, while the complete enclosed setup takes under five minutes.
SPACIOUS LIVING AREA
With a 3 × 3m footprint, the FreeStander provides 9m² of usable space with 2.2m of headroom. This creates plenty of room for a camping table, chairs and other equipment while still allowing you to move around comfortably.
BUILT FOR BRITISH WEATHER
Both layers provide a 5,000mm waterproof rating and UPF50+ sun protection. The FreeStander has also been tested in winds of up to 38mph (61km/h), with pegs and guy ropes supplied to secure the shelter.
BUILT-IN GROUNDSHEET
The enclosed inner pod features an integrated groundsheet to help keep water, mud and draughts outside, creating a cleaner and more comfortable living area in changing weather conditions.
DESIGNED FOR AIRFLOW
Roof vents, mesh windows and an air gap between the outer shelter and inner pod promote airflow through the FreeStander. This helps maintain ventilation while the enclosed setup is in use.
FLEXIBLE STORAGE
The outer shelter and inner pod pack into two separate carry bags. This allows you to take the complete setup when you need an enclosed living area or carry only the outer shelter when you simply need quick shade and weather protection.
