ARB - Volkswagen Amarok Bed Rack Kit - (2022-2025)

The ARB Bed Rack for the Volkswagen Amarok provides a strong, versatile load-carrying system above the pickup bed while keeping the space below open and accessible. Designed specifically for the Amarok, it provides a practical alternative to a canopy or conventional roof rack for vehicles carrying rooftop tents, camping equipment, recovery gear and other touring equipment.

Built from lightweight 6061 aluminium extrusion, the Bed Rack uses a North-South rail configuration to provide a load rating of up to 150kg while maintaining useful access to the load bed. The low-profile curved design follows the shape of the vehicle, while ARB's integrated dovetail mounting system provides attachment points around the rack for compatible accessories.

CONFIGURE THE RACK TO SUIT YOUR VEHICLE

This Devon 4x4 kit allows the Bed Rack system to be configured around how you intend to use your Amarok.

For a simple and open load-carrying setup, the ARB 1252mm Cross Bars provide mounting positions above the Bed Rack and are particularly well suited to rooftop tent installations. The Cross Bar configuration retains excellent access around and underneath the rack while adding further dovetail mounting positions for compatible equipment.

For a full-width platform, the Bed Rack can instead be equipped with the 1255 x 1445mm ARB BASE Rack. The fully welded aluminium platform features seven cross beams and ARB's dovetail mounting system, creating a much larger carrying area for luggage, camping equipment and touring accessories. The dedicated BASE Rack Mount Kit securely connects the platform directly to the Bed Rack.

KEEP THE LOAD BED USEFUL

One of the main advantages of the Bed Rack is the space it leaves underneath.

Rather than filling the Amarok's load bed with a permanent storage structure, equipment is carried above it. This leaves the centre of the tub accessible for larger or taller items, including bicycles and motorcycles, while still providing an elevated platform for additional equipment.

The dovetail mounting system incorporated into the Bed Rack rails also allows compatible accessories to be positioned around the rack rather than taking up valuable space on the platform itself. Wiring for lighting or other powered accessories can be routed internally through the aluminium extrusion for a cleaner installation.

VEHICLE-SPECIFIC INSTALLATION

The Bed Rack uses a dedicated Volkswagen Amarok mounting system designed to transfer loads into the structural areas of the vehicle tub. The system is suitable for Dual Cab Pickup models and can be installed with or without compatible tub liners.

For Amarok Aventura models, the factory sailplane and roller tonneau must be removed before installation. ARB also recommends replacing the original Aventura tub liner with a non-Aventura tub liner, ARB Sportguard or ARB Drawer System.

Depending on vehicle production date and configuration, the appropriate tub reinforcement components should also be selected as part of the installation.
