D44 - Discovery 2 Heavy Duty Winch Bumper With Washer Bottle

The D44 Heavy Duty Winch Bumper is designed specifically for the Land Rover Discovery 2, combining a strong winch mounting platform with a slimline design that maintains excellent front approach clearance.

By setting the winch back into the grille rather than positioning it prominently ahead of the vehicle, the bumper provides a close-fitting installation suited to Discovery 2s used for serious off-road driving and recovery work.

HEAVY DUTY 5MM STEEL CONSTRUCTION

The bumper is manufactured from 5mm steel to provide the strength required for demanding off-road and recovery use. A tough black powder-coated finish provides protection while complementing the Discovery 2's rugged appearance.

CLOSE-FITTING WINCH INSTALLATION

The D44 design positions the winch back into the vehicle's grille area. This keeps the bumper profile compact and provides an excellent approach angle, helping the front of the vehicle clear steep banks, obstacles and changes in terrain.

INTEGRATED RECOVERY EYES

Heavy-duty recovery eyes are incorporated directly into the bumper and manufactured from 10mm steel, providing dedicated recovery points as part of the bumper assembly.

REPLACEMENT ALUMINIUM WASHER BOTTLE

Replacing the original Discovery 2 bumper can leave the factory washer bottle vulnerable. A smaller aluminium washer bottle is supplied with the D44 bumper as a direct replacement for the original bottle.

Different washer bottle configurations are required for pre-facelift and facelift Discovery 2 models, so the correct option should be selected for the vehicle.

WINCH COMPATIBILITY

The bumper features fixing holes designed to suit the range of Warn mid-frame winches, with a winch tray measuring 612mm across.

Due to their larger physical dimensions, Superwinch Talon and TDS winches are not suitable. If using another winch model, its dimensions should be checked against the available winch tray space before installation.

INSTALLATION

Installation requires the lower front body cross-member panel to be cut to provide the necessary clearance for the bumper and winch installation.

An accompanying D44 steering guard is available separately and is not included with the bumper.
