OME - Mitsubishi L200 Anti-Inversion Kit / (1996-2006)

The Old Man Emu Anti-Inversion Kit is designed for Mitsubishi L200 models from 1996 to 2006 fitted with compatible Old Man Emu rear leaf spring suspension. It provides an important safeguard against leaf spring shackle inversion during extreme suspension movement.

When travelling off road, repeated compression and rebound can allow a leaf spring and shackle assembly to travel beyond its intended operating position. In extreme circumstances the shackle can invert, potentially damaging the spring and other suspension components and seriously affecting the way the vehicle handles.

PROTECTING THE REAR SUSPENSION

The FK30 Anti-Inversion Kit works by limiting excessive suspension travel before the leaf spring and shackle can move into an inverted position. This helps protect the integrity of the rear suspension when the vehicle is subjected to demanding terrain and high levels of suspension articulation.

It is a relatively simple component, but an important part of correctly installing the Old Man Emu leaf spring suspension on this generation of Mitsubishi L200.

REQUIRED WITH OME LEAF SPRING SUSPENSION

ARB specifies the FK30 Anti-Inversion Kit as a mandatory fitment for compatible Mitsubishi Triton ME to MK models equipped with Old Man Emu leaf spring suspension.

The requirement applies whether the vehicle retains its standard shackles or is fitted with Old Man Emu greasable shackles.

When building a complete Old Man Emu suspension system for the Mitsubishi L200, the Anti-Inversion Kit should therefore be installed alongside the appropriate Dakar rear leaf springs and associated suspension hardware.
