Mud - Garrison SW Rear Window Trim Kit

The Series-Defender Outfitters (formerly Garrison Outfitters) replacement seal kit includes a pair of rubberised extrusions to replace the factory felt lining in Land Rover Defender rear sliding windows and eliminates the irritating glass 'chatter' common in older vehicles. The kit contains two lengths of seal to replace the factory felt seals in both of the rear sliding side window panels. Note that the factory windows have just one sliding panel per side.

The window seal is not merely an off-the-shelf extrusion but a unique custom made seal product created by Series-Defender Outfitters that's far superior product to the Land Rover replacement window seal, part number RTC6462.

Made from virgin (non-recycled) EPDM rubber for its superior temperature and weather resistance, this product is impervious to ozone, making it fade-resistant. Upper flanges wrap out and around the window frame edge, so the glass never comes into contact with the metal, eliminating rattles. Inner surfaces are flocked to reduce friction allowing the window glass to slide freely in the channel. Installed with simple hand tools, this product is designed to be barely noticeable on your vehicle yet greatly increase your driving enjoyment. The Series-Defender Outfitters kit is a complete solution, with enough rubber window channel and rivets to restore both your driver and passenger side rear Defender sliding windows. As an added touch, the kit also includes the correct #2 Pozidriv‚® ACR bit which prevents stripping of the hard-to-find screws that connect with the lower frame rail.

  Fits Land Rover Defender factory fitted rear sliding windows with 4mm glass that contain felt linings. Fits Model Years 1984 through 2001 with the single sliding glass panel.

NOTE: On post 2001 Defender side windows, the window frames are bonded into the body side panels. This makes removal of the window frame very difficult. This kit will therefore only work with the earlier style window frames that are riveted in place. The riveted frames have a rubber seal running around the external frame that conceals the rivet heads. The later bonded frames do not have the rubber seal.

The Station Wagon seal WILL NOT FIT the rear cab window on a Defender Truck-Cab/Double Cab. This window uses a different seal design. Unfortunately we don't offer a replacement kit for this seal.
