Carrying capacity is only part of the design. Rhino-Rack has incorporated a built-in wind fairing into the Reconn system to help manage airflow around the front of the platform and reduce aerodynamic drag.

The fairing is suspended above the vehicle's roof, helping manage airflow without contacting or damaging the roof panel beneath it.
