OME Nitro - Mitsubishi L200 Suspension Kit - 40mm Lift (1996-2006)

The Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus Suspension Kit provides a complete suspension upgrade for the Mitsubishi L200 from 1996 to 2006, combining approximately 40mm of additional ride height with improved control, ride quality and load carrying performance.

Rather than combining unrelated uprated suspension parts, Old Man Emu develops its springs, torsion bars and shock absorbers as an integrated system. This allows the front and rear suspension to work together, giving the L200 a more controlled and balanced setup whether it is used as an everyday pickup, work vehicle, tow vehicle or off-road tourer.

A Complete Front & Rear Suspension Upgrade

At the front, uprated Old Man Emu Heavy Duty torsion bars replace the standard units and are matched with Nitrocharger Plus shock absorbers. The uprated torsion bars provide the additional spring rate required for the raised suspension and are particularly beneficial where accessories or additional permanent weight have been fitted to the front of the vehicle.

At the rear, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs provide the additional ride height and load support, working together with matching Nitrocharger Plus rear shock absorbers to control axle movement.

The result is a suspension system designed to improve the way the L200 behaves as a complete vehicle rather than simply increasing its ride height.

Choose the Rear Spring to Suit Your L200

The correct rear spring depends on how much weight your L200 carries on a regular basis. Choosing the right spring is important for both ride quality and load support.

Medium Load

Designed for vehicles that normally run relatively light or regularly alternate between loaded and unloaded use. The two-stage spring design provides additional support as load increases without unnecessarily compromising everyday ride quality.

Constant 200kg

Designed for vehicles carrying approximately 200kg of additional rear weight on a permanent basis. This is the better choice for an L200 permanently equipped with items such as drawer systems, tools, recovery equipment, camping equipment or other touring accessories.

Selecting the correct spring allows the suspension to be configured around the way the vehicle is actually used rather than simply fitting the heaviest spring available.

Nitrocharger Plus Control

Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus shock absorbers use a robust twin-tube construction with large-bore, high-flow pistons and vehicle-specific valving. They are designed to provide consistent damping as road conditions, suspension speed and vehicle load change.

This gives the L200 improved suspension control on the road while retaining the durability and heat management required for rough tracks, touring and prolonged off-road use.

More Than Just Springs & Shocks

The kit goes beyond the main suspension components. The rear installation includes the appropriate Old Man Emu spring bushes, U-bolts and serviceable mounting hardware required to correctly install and maintain the leaf spring suspension.

Greasable shackles and fixed-end pins allow the rear spring bushes to be lubricated during routine maintenance without dismantling the suspension, helping reduce wear and keeping the suspension working smoothly.

The required anti-inversion kit is also incorporated into the setup to help prevent the rear shackles from moving into an inverted position during extreme suspension articulation.
