ARB - SkyDome 3 Double Swag

The ARB SkyDome 3 Double Swag is designed to make sleeping under canvas genuinely comfortable for two people. Building on ARB's long-running SkyDome design, the third generation combines a spacious freestanding structure with tougher construction, improved ventilation and a collection of thoughtful features that make life around camp that little bit easier.

At its heart is a 75mm high-density convoluted foam mattress, providing a substantial sleeping surface without the need to carry a separate camping mattress. The removable cover is non-rusting and machine washable, making it easier to keep everything fresh between trips.

Heavy-Duty Canvas & Weather Protection

The SkyDome 3 is constructed from 14.75oz heavy-duty canvas, treated for water and rot resistance to cope with repeated use in demanding camping environments.

Underneath, a 970gsm seam-welded base with 70mm-high tub sides provides a substantial barrier between your sleeping area and wet ground. Oversized YKK zips are protected by rain gutters around the windows and doors, while nickel-plated brass eyelets provide additional corrosion resistance.

Room to Relax

A swag needs to be comfortable for more than just sleeping. The SkyDome's distinctive shape provides generous height through the head and hip area before tapering towards the legs, creating a more usable interior without unnecessarily increasing the overall size of the shelter.

The freestanding dome construction also means pegs and guy ropes aren't required in mild conditions, making it quicker to get camp established when you arrive at the end of the day.

Ventilation Where You Need It

Ventilation has been given particular attention on the SkyDome 3, with a full-width foot window and front moonroof helping create airflow through the sleeping area.

Heavy-duty YKK zips provide access to the ventilation openings, while internal dowel pockets at the window ends help prevent material from flapping around when conditions become breezy.

Small Details That Make Camping Easier

The SkyDome 3 incorporates an internal LED light, powered from your own power bank through USB-A, providing useful illumination without having to hang a separate camping lantern inside the swag.

Magnetic door closures provide quick access, while internal storage pockets, a wide-brim hat holder and lighting hooks give smaller items a proper place rather than leaving them scattered around your mattress.

ARB has also integrated the pole storage bag into the front of the swag. When set up, this doubles as an additional entry mat, while dedicated boot storage helps keep muddy footwear outside the sleeping area and protected overnight.

Designed for Repeated Touring Use

Pole joints have been reinforced and overlapped to improve long-term durability, while metallic red accents identify the pole eyelets and help make assembly more intuitive.

Guy ropes and heavy-duty pegs are supplied for conditions where the freestanding structure needs additional security, with reflective red and black guy ropes helping improve visibility around camp after dark.
