Toyota & Lexus Rear SumoSprings - 1800lb
SumoSprings Rear Suspension Helper Springs provide additional progressive support for selected Toyota and Lexus 4x4 suspension systems. Designed to enhance load-carrying ability, reduce sway and improve vehicle control, they are particularly useful for vehicles carrying additional equipment, towing or operating regularly with increased rear axle loads.
The SSR-623-47 kit uses SumoSprings' proprietary closed micro-cellular urethane springs and provides 1800lb of capacity at 50% compression. Unlike an air-assisted suspension system, there are no airlines, compressors or pressures to maintain.
PROGRESSIVE LOAD SUPPORT
SumoSprings provide a smooth and progressive spring rate. As the rear suspension compresses under increasing load, the springs progressively provide additional support rather than delivering a fixed spring rate.
This helps control suspension movement while maintaining more compliant behaviour when the vehicle is carrying lighter loads.
IMPROVED STABILITY AND CONTROL
The additional rear suspension support is designed to help stabilise body sway and improve overall driver control. SumoSprings also provide inherent damping characteristics, helping control suspension movement when travelling on uneven roads and tracks.
IDEAL FOR LOADED 4X4S
The SSR-623-47 is well suited to vehicles carrying touring equipment, drawer systems, roof tents and other accessories, as well as vehicles used for towing. By providing additional support as the suspension compresses, the system can help control rear suspension sag under increased load.
MAINTENANCE-FREE ALTERNATIVE TO AIR ASSIST
SumoSprings require no air pressure, airlines or compressor. The solid micro-cellular urethane construction cannot develop an air leak, making the system a simple maintenance-free solution for additional rear suspension support.
VEHICLE-SPECIFIC INSTALLATION
The SSR-623-47 kit is supplied with vehicle-specific mounting brackets, support plates and installation hardware. SuperSprings International lists applications including Toyota Land Cruiser 100, Land Cruiser 120 Prado, Land Cruiser 150 Prado, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser and Sequoia, together with selected Lexus GX and LX models.
