Old Man Emu - Mitsubishi L200 Front Shock Absorber - All Purpose / 40mm / (1996-2006)

The Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus Front Shock Absorber is designed for Mitsubishi L200 models from 1996 to 2006, providing an all-purpose suspension upgrade for vehicles used across a mixture of everyday driving, towing, touring and off-road conditions.

Rather than simply producing a firmer shock absorber, Old Man Emu tunes the Nitrocharger Plus to suit the suspension characteristics of the vehicle. The result is improved control over suspension movement while retaining the ride quality required from an L200 that still spends plenty of time on the road.

DEVELOPED FOR ALL-ROUND PERFORMANCE

The Nitrocharger Plus uses a large-bore, high-flow piston designed to reduce heat build-up and maintain more consistent damping performance under demanding conditions. An advanced multi-stage valving system provides responsive control as suspension speed and road conditions change, helping the shock absorber remain composed across everything from normal road use to rough tracks and heavily loaded touring.

Nitrogen gas pressurisation works alongside the hydraulic damping system to provide consistent performance, while the twin-tube body gives the shock absorber the durability required for regular four-wheel drive use.

BUILT FOR LONG-TERM USE

A triple-lip oil seal provides additional protection against oil loss and contamination, while the durable polyethylene dirt shield helps protect the shock absorber from debris encountered during off-road driving.

With a collapsed length of 225mm and extended length of 345mm, the shock absorber is designed around the available front suspension travel of this Mitsubishi application.

As with other Old Man Emu suspension components, the Nitrocharger Plus is designed to work as part of a complete suspension system. Matching the front shock absorbers with the appropriate Old Man Emu torsion bars, rear springs and rear shock absorbers allows the suspension to be selected around the vehicle's weight and intended use.
