Old Man Emu - Mitsubishi L200 Rear Shock Absorber - All Purpose / 40mm / (1996-2006)

The Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus Rear Shock Absorber is designed for Mitsubishi L200 models from 1996 to 2006, providing an all-purpose suspension upgrade for vehicles used across a mixture of everyday driving, working, touring and off-road conditions.

Developed to work with the matching Old Man Emu rear leaf springs, the Nitrocharger Plus is tuned specifically around the suspension characteristics and load-carrying requirements of the vehicle. Rather than simply making the rear suspension firmer, the aim is to provide a controlled and comfortable ride across changing road surfaces and vehicle loads.

ALL-PURPOSE SUSPENSION PERFORMANCE

The Nitrocharger Plus uses a large-bore, high-flow piston to help reduce heat build-up and maintain consistent damping performance under demanding conditions. This is combined with an advanced multi-stage valving system that allows the shock absorber to respond effectively as suspension speed and conditions change.

Nitrogen gas pressurisation complements the hydraulic damping system, helping provide consistent performance during extended use. This makes the shock well suited to an L200 that may spend one day driving normally on the road and the next carrying equipment, towing or travelling off road.

BUILT FOR WORKING AND TOURING VEHICLES

The robust twin-tube construction provides the durability required for regular four-wheel drive use, while a triple-lip oil seal helps protect against oil loss and contamination. A durable polyethylene dirt shield provides additional protection from mud, stones and debris around the shock absorber.

As part of a complete Old Man Emu suspension system, the rear Nitrocharger Plus shocks can be matched with the appropriate medium load or constant load Dakar leaf springs according to the weight normally carried by the vehicle.

Combined with the appropriate front torsion bars and front shock absorbers, this allows the complete L200 suspension setup to be selected around the way the vehicle is actually used.
